Sadly, we didn’t see anyone at last Saturday’s class, but there is a new opportunity to find us this coming weekend!
On Sunday, April 10, come to the Boutique Paddle Party in Chippewa, PA, right off of Interstate 376 in Beaver County! The event is at the Chippewa Methodist Community Life Center and will benefit the Blackhawk High School’s band. It kicks off at 1pm and will end at 4.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see us in person! We want to connect with you!
See more about the event here.
Good morning friends!
It’s a sunny day here at Honest Aromas and we are having a great week getting lots done for our business!
Hannah is on Spring Break, so it’s great to have her home to work on things. This past weekend I went to Beaver, near Pittsburgh, to spend time at her house and to check out the cute little town of Beaver!
We had breakfast at Waffles Incaffeinated before heading over to the Restyle store, where Hannah works and where we have a small display! This shop is an adorable, eclectic place to find high-end consignment fashion! We also visited Sapling and Sons, where they sell unique stationery and gifts. It was a fun day!
This week we’ll be updating some of our labels and working to make our website even more user-friendly. We have some fun ideas in the works, so stay posted!
What did you do this weekend? Have you ever been to Beaver?
Happy Friday folks!
Valentine’s day is this weekend, and today we want to share three essential oils to get you in a romantic/loving/peaceful mood, whatever your plans might be with your loved ones. Here are a few to incorporate into your weekend! Our information today comes from Pompeii Organics.
We’ve talked about Sandalwood on the blog before. Sandalwood is calming and grounding, making you feel safe and comfortable. It also lifts the mood and functions as an aphrodisiac, which explains why it’s considered a very sensual, romantic oil!
Rose Absolute is one of my favorite oils! I love scenting my room with it. It is calming and grounding like Sandalwood, but also very cooling and great for the skin (think rosewater). We’ve talked about some of its amazing skin and mental properties before. Rose Absolute uplifts the mind and puts you in a more loving, romantic mood. This explains why roses are a popular flower for Valentine’s day!
Finally, another oil we’ve featured before, Ylang Ylang is floral and heady, very relaxing and calming, which makes it great for winding down after your Valentine’s dinner. Like Sandalwood, it’s also an aphrodisiac, and it soothes anxious thoughts. For these reasons, it makes a great perfume! Just don’t use too much… you’ll nod off to happy dreams before your weekend plans even get underway. 😉
We hope you enjoy your weekend! Don’t forget to take advantage of our Valentine’s Sale – it ends tomorrow!
Happy Friday everybody!
Tomorrow my son Dorian is competing in the Oil City Soapbox Derby! He’s raced for a few years, and we’re excited to see how he does in “The Flagster”, the car that my first son built with his grandpa.
Dorian will be racing down part of a long steep hill. The car is safe and he has a helmet, but cuts and scrapes can happen. I’m bringing along my helichrysum hydrosol for some aromatherapy on the go!
As we talked about in Tuesday’s post, helichrysum is awesome to heal the skin from any kind of wound or burn. Hydrosols are a great way to take the benefits of essential oils wherever you go, as they are already diluted enough for use and come in a sprayer, which is super handy! If Dorian gets any little cuts or bruises, I can grab the helichrysum hydrosol from my purse and spray it on right away.
Next week we’ll be writing a post on hydrosols. We’ve talked about them before, but you’ll get an in-depth look at this very versatile side of aromatherapy!
What are your weekend plans? Have you ever used a hydrosol? Have a safe and happy weekend, and come see the race at 9am up by the Oil City High School!
