Liver Detox Yoga!

I told you a few months ago that I had to detox my liver, that the liver was the culprit to my anemia and poor blood lab results. I have been drinking hot lemon water every morning and taking a liver detox supplement recommended by my doctor.

I also started doing this handy little exercise with Yoga with Adriene!  Whether you have a liver issue, or need a little detox (and we all do) this is a great, level entry workout! If you want to try to start inching in to a detox, and make a real impact on health, here are 2 easy steps;

  1. Do not eat after 7 PM. Drink warm lemon water or herbal tea only.
  2. Be in bed sleeping by 11 PM.

These 2 changes in your routine will start the process of healing in your body and helping it to calm down enough to rebuild it self.

You may want to mix a  few drops of each of these oils in with some Epsom Salt for a bath before bed as well.  marjoram, lavender, neroli, orange, chamomile, sandalwood and rose- 2 drops of each in 1 C. of Epsom salt will be calming and restorative to your body and mind. If you only have some of the oils, use as many or as little as you have.

Sitting here this morning, feeling a little low and run down after the holiday. I made some tea and did some Yoga with Adriene She has a great set of videos for working out when you are not feeling well, check them out! We all need to give our bodies a rest from this busy, stressed filled world- especially at this time of year.

Feed your body with fresh citrus to boost your immune system and lighten your mood, drink some tea with raw honey, and take a little walk. Put a couple drops of of grapefruit, lemon and orange in your diffuser. Read scriptures that are related to healing, Mark 5:34 for instance, and meditate on it.
