It looks like a beautiful day, we would love to meet you today!
In the past week we’ve been sharing some client testimonies. We want to continue that today with the story of one of our Farmer’s Market clients: “Jane”.
Jane comes to the Farmer’s Market every week and orders a little bottle necklace of a bergamot and clary sage blend. She finds it extremely useful for anxiety.
One day at home Jane used an older bottle of lemongrass essential oil, one she had gotten long ago from another seller. The oil seriously irritated her skin and caused a bad reaction! Due to the good professional relationship we’d gotten to form with Jane, she felt comfortable coming to us and looking into what may have caused the problem.
I was able to tell Jane a little about essential oil safety—Lemongrass, as we’ve written before, can be very irritating to the skin. It can also go bad over time, something that many essential oil companies don’t tell you! Because she’d had such a bad reaction, I advised Jane to avoid lemongrass for a while, to let the body recover and build up strength again. Your immune system can have an allergic-type reaction to essential oils if the quality is not good or if they are used improperly.
Jane is a loyal customer, one we’re happy to get to know. She loves coming to us with her essential oil questions. She says she trusts our knowledge and has learned a lot about the power of essential oils, power which can be harmful and helpful!

We hope you’ve been having a great week and are excited for the weekend!
Today we wanted to share another testimonial, from our friend and customer, Amy.We met Amy through the farmer’s market. One day she came over to our booth suffering from an intense migraine. I was able to mix together a blend in an inhaler on the spot, and within twenty minutes, her headache was gone! This blend actually became our proprietary Migraine Inhaler, which we’ve marketed to other customers with great success.
Now Amy uses that same blend everywhere she goes. She has inhalers for her purse, car, and at work. She’s found it helpful for alertness in the morning, as well as for managing anxiety. This just goes to show that essential oils can have many uses beyond what they’re popularly known for!
We’ve loved getting to know and help Amy, and we’d love to do the same for you! How can we help you today?

Many essential oils come from what we would consider common plants or even weeds. Today’s oil is one of these. Meet yarrow (Achillea millefolium)!
Although this plant is common in many applications, the essential oil (our favorite comes from Pompeii Organics ) has some very helpful benefits.
Yarrow is great for small wounds, because it relieves pain and stops bleeding. It’s also anti-inflammatory and rebuilds skin tissue.
Yarrow helps clear respiratory passages in the event of a cold or flu. It’s antispasmodic, which makes it great for muscles and coughs.
The essential oil is a lovely blue color and has a soft flowery scent. It’s a great oil to have around the house, as it’s helpful for a variety of uses while still being pretty cost-effective.
Are you interested in trying delightful yarrow? Contact us! We can give you an exclusive deal as an Honest Aromas customer.
Don’t forget to come find us from 9am-4pm at the Oil City Farmer’s market in front of the library!

Today we want to feature an oil we’ve talked about before here at Honest Aromas, which is easily one of the most popular essential oils: Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia)!
According to Pompeii Organics, lavender is very calming, which is why it’s so popular. What most people don’t know is that lavender is also great for the skin, regenerating the cells and fighting bacteria and infections.
Contributing to its calming properties, lavender is good for pain and swelling. It also cools the skin and soothes inflammation. It also boosts the mood, keeping depression at bay.
It’s important, as with any essential oil, to exercise proper caution with lavender. Lavender angustifolia is different from another variety, Lavender latifolia, or Spike Lavender. The two of them, although similar, have some very different properties. Make sure you know what you’re using!
If you have any questions, stop by our booth at the farmer’s market! As always, contact us with any questions or requests. We want to hear from you!
Don’t forget to come see us at the Oil City Farmer’s Market in front of the Library today! We’ll be there from 9am-4pm, so come down and see our aromatherapy goodies for yourself!
If you’ve been around a health food store lately, you’ve likely heard about Tulsi, an Indian herb that’s seeing a surge of popularity in the west, most commonly in tea blends. However, Tulsi essential oil (Ocimum sanctum ct. eugenol, also known as Holy Basil) is also an excellent nutritional supplement.
According to Pompeii Organics, Tulsi, like other members of the basil family, is great for digestion. It strengthens the immune system and promotes an efficient digestive tract.
Tulsi has a warming effect on the body, which makes it great for pain and inflammation. It soothes swelling and stiffness in the joints and numbs pain.
For more outward applications, Tulsi is helpful for the skin, because it fights viruses, fungi, and infections.
Are you interested in trying this terrific oil? We can give you an exclusive deal as an Honest Aromas customer. Come see us today at the Farmers Market from 9-4, or contact us any time for more questions. We want to hear from you!
