Summery Lime

Hello everyone!

Don’t forget that we’ll be at the Oil City Farmer’s Market from 9am-4pm today!

Today we want to feature an oil that’s unique, sweet and surprisingly helpful: lime (Citrus aurantifolia)!

lime

According to Pompeii Organicsour favorite essential oil company–Lime is excellent for the skin because it’s a natural astringent. It helps balance oily skin without being as harsh as some of its other citrus cousins like lemon and orange. Unlike other citrus oils, lime is not phototoxic, which means it won’t irritate skin when exposed to sunlight.

Besides the skin benefits, lime is also a great anti-depressant, a hallmark of the citrus family. It lifts the mood and deodorizes the air, and some sources have found that lime helps fight infections and viruses.

Lime has a more delicate, sweet aroma compared to that of the other citrus oils. It’s light and summery, perfect for your warm-weather oil blends. Because it’s on the gentler side, it’s more versatile than other citruses. We’ve mixed it into epsom salts for a nice bath and put some in a diffuser to freshen up a room. The possibilities are endless.

Are you interested in using lime? Send us an email or give us a call! We carry a select amount of Pompeii’s lime oil for our customers, and we’d love to share this wonderful oil with you! Be sure to visit us at the Farmer’s Market from 9-4 to get it today!

These products came from an idea of a friend, who manages a vacation cabin in our area. We wanted to craft a scent that captures everything we love about the Pennsylvania Alleghenies: fragrant woods, fresh plants, and a minty tang in the air!

This new collection hasn’t made it to our online store yet, but you can pre-order by calling us (814-673-2797) or sending an email (honestaromatherapy@gmail.com)! Don’t forget to visit us in Beaver County this weekend and claim your bottle of Western PA experience!
