Here is an all-natural alternative to chemical, cover-up-the-smell candles that we discussed yesterday! Made from mountainroseherbs.com
“Enjoy this classic beeswax pillar candle made with 100% pure Oregon Beeswax and lacking all the harmful impurities typically found in commercial paraffin based candles. Short and stout, these are the longest burning beeswax candles we offer. They are heavy, well balanced and they emit a magnificently rich beeswax fragrance into the air as they heat up during prolonged burning. Measures 3″ high and 3 1/2″ wide and has a 60 hour burn time.”
Now aside from beeswax candles, I have to admit I have not ventured farther! But I am excited to explore this new territory and share it with you as I do!! I have had the beeswax tapers and besides the warm-honey fragrance, which is amazing; I just love the look of the all natural candle!!
So hope this sets you looking for more natural, less toxic varieties of candles to fill your home with. They are more expensive, but if they are adding to your health, not hindering it, you will save money and migraines in the process!!

Don’t forget that we’ll be at the Oil City Farmer’s Market from 9am-4pm today!
Today we want to feature an oil that’s unique, sweet and surprisingly helpful: lime (Citrus aurantifolia)!
According to Pompeii Organics—our favorite essential oil company–Lime is excellent for the skin because it’s a natural astringent. It helps balance oily skin without being as harsh as some of its other citrus cousins like lemon and orange. Unlike other citrus oils, lime is not phototoxic, which means it won’t irritate skin when exposed to sunlight.
Besides the skin benefits, lime is also a great anti-depressant, a hallmark of the citrus family. It lifts the mood and deodorizes the air, and some sources have found that lime helps fight infections and viruses.
Lime has a more delicate, sweet aroma compared to that of the other citrus oils. It’s light and summery, perfect for your warm-weather oil blends. Because it’s on the gentler side, it’s more versatile than other citruses. We’ve mixed it into epsom salts for a nice bath and put some in a diffuser to freshen up a room. The possibilities are endless.
Are you interested in using lime? Send us an email or give us a call! We carry a select amount of Pompeii’s lime oil for our customers, and we’d love to share this wonderful oil with you! Be sure to visit us at the Farmer’s Market from 9-4 to get it today!
The newest item to grace our various shelves is our new, original, Allegheny Woods room spray, soap, and lotion!
These products came from an idea of a friend, who manages a vacation cabin in our area. We wanted to craft a scent that captures everything we love about the Pennsylvania Alleghenies: fragrant woods, fresh plants, and a minty tang in the air!
This new collection hasn’t made it to our online store yet, but you can pre-order by calling us (814-673-2797) or sending an email (firstname.lastname@example.org)! Don’t forget to visit us in Beaver County this weekend and claim your bottle of Western PA experience!
Hello everyone! Hannah here. A few months back I shared some of my favorite natural makeup products. Today I want to update that list!
In the time since my last post, I’ve discovered Burt’s Bees’ new BB Cream. I’ve been on the hunt for a natural lightweight foundation/BB cream for a while, and it’s difficult to find a good product because most of the ingredients that create the look and texture we’re used to are synthetic substances. As someone who sees health in a holistic light, I think that you can’t layer unnatural products onto your skin without it eventually having some effect! I don’t use a lot of liquid foundation on my skin, but I did want something that could even out my skin tone and cover up blemishes when I want something extra.
Enter Burt’s Bees!
As the picture says, this product isn’t 100% natural. However, there are no parabens or silicones, two of the most common makeup ingredients. The texture is great, it applies smoothly, and it offers buildable coverage that enhances the face without acting like a mask. And it smells wonderful, too!
Have you tried this BB cream? Let us know what you think, and click the link below to see my other favorite pics for natural cosmetics. Have a great weekend!
