Proverbs 10:22 says; “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.” That came to my mind this morning in a still, voice. How hard it is to hear that voice some times amidst the “clanging” of the world around us. Buy this….hurry in….last day sale…..TV, Facebook, texting, Christmas music- the noise is almost inescapable.
But there is a still, small, quiet voice deep in us calling us away from all of that. If you hurried on with your day you would miss it. If you stop and ponder it, it grows louder.
Isn’t it true that the things of God, the things we cannot buy are the most precious. People in our lives, nature, food, water. We cannot live with out them. (Ok, maybe some people aren’t as “precious” as others!!) But those things in our life are eternally valuable. Maybe there is a person, or people in your world today that you need to lift up or say an encouraging word to. Go do it! There will be a blessing in it for them, and for you, too:-)
