Cry Me a River

Have you ever had a day where you just cry? Really hard, like it is never going to stop? I had a day like that yesterday.

I spent a lot of time in prayer. I took a scripture that I have been meditating on and put some Rose Absolute on my hands and and breathed it in deeply while I was memorizing this text about God rebuilding me. Emotionally, Rose eases grief, depression, soothes anger and deep despair. It is healing to the heart.

It is very cleansing to “get it all out”, isn’t it?  I actually had a couple meetings yesterday and I didn’t pretend. As my eyes were swollen from the flood coming out of them, I just stated where I was…in acceptance….I am not really good at hiding things- and I don’t think it very healthy to do that.

I had every intention of blogging yesterday, but our site was locked up:-( But I had looked up some benefits of crying to share with you and would like to do that today.

This came from in their 9 Surprising Benefits of Crying article.

  1. Being vulnerable helps you connect with others.
  2. Confronting your feelings helps you to move forward.
  3. Expressing your emotions can help you be creative.
  4. Releasing tears flushes out toxins.
  5. Letting go of your baggage helps you end suffering.
  6. Crying helps you deal with stress.
  7. Weeping helps you come to terms with a loss.
  8. Having a good cry helps you to feel better.
  9. Being unafraid to cry makes you strong.

In my experience, I have to say I have found all of these things to be true. I think they were all true for me yesterday! I hope you have found this helpful and wonder how each of you feel about a good cry. I think I used to feel really weak and too emotional when I was having a day like that. Now, I just think it is what my spirit and body need to do. We live in an extremely complex world that has a level of stress unlike any other time in history. I think it is OK to handle it from time to time with rivers of tears- just as long as we don’t stay there, but move forward from it eventually.

Tell me about your experience with Rose Absolute! I would also like to hear your opinion on the things I shared about crying. We want to hear from you today!
